Protec Contractors is a multi-service industrial and commercial contractor, with specialized divisions in high-performance polymer flooring and polished concrete installation, concrete footings and forming, media blasting, and fireproofing. Any new construction or retrofit project requires multiple trades and services throughout its lifecycle. Protec is the dependable one-call gateway for clients to multiple services. From the start of a project – with footings, forming, and flatwork – to life-saving fireproofing installation and finishing with epoxy or urethane coatings, Protec is on site with the expertise to move the project along right on time. Our process is as seamless as the floors we install!
Protec began with the installation of high-performance, long-wearing, and easy-to-clean epoxy and urethane coatings systems engineered to stand up to the high demands of industrial commercial environments. To meet the needs of our clients, we began to expand our service offerings, adding joint filler, self-levelling topping projects, and broadcast trowel and slurry floor systems. Concrete protection depends greatly on the slab poured; introducing a concrete division gave Protec greater control over the finished product for our clients. Next came our media blasting (commonly known as sandblasting) division, providing glass bead, vapour blasting, dry ice blasting and soda blasting. These are widely used to refresh steel deck ceilings, in commercial kitchen cleaning, or for fire restoration. To be true infrastructure protection specialists, we added a fireproofing division. It was a natural fit, allowing Protec to literally protect a building from the floor to the ceiling.
