UPS Medical Freezer Room

When the contractor for this large storage facility needed new curbs and a slab for a medical storage freezer they knew exactly who to call.

Protec came in to first install concrete curbs around the area where the slab was being installed. Next up was that prep for a freezer room which requires specialty installation including sand for heating lines followed by insulation before the rebar can be placed. Another hurdle that Team Protec navigated expertly was the access to the area the slab was being installed. With an indoor slab pour you can’t depend on a close spot for the concrete truck to pull up. Thanks to some on site creativity and over 300 feet of pump line a 40’ x 30’ slab was expertly placed. The contractor was so impressed, they asked us to do a second slab in the same facility.
